ENJOYABLE TRIPS AND EXCURSIONS

Kurukshetra

Shivalik Public School , Sector 41, Chandigarh organized an Educational Trip to Kurukshetra for classes IX, X, XI and XII students , on 25th and 28th October’24. The trips were both fun filled and great learning experience, as students explored the historical and cultural significance of this ancient city.
The students visited Gieo Gita Museum, followed by the famous Brahma Sarovar, where they learned about its importance in Hindu mythology and enjoyed the serene beauty of the lake. The next place of visit was Jyotisar, where Lord Krishna is said to have delivered the sacred sermon of Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna. Students felt deeply connected to the teachings and values of the epic Mahabharata.
They also explored the Kurukshetra Panorama and Science Centre, which combines history with science through interactive displays, bringing to life the story of the Mahabharata in an engaging way. Sumptuous meals were organized for breakfast and lunch followed by evening snacks. Through this trip, students gained not only historical insights but also a sense of pride in their cultural heritage. It was a memorable experience that combined learning with enjoyment!

 

Anandpur Sahib and Virasat-e-Khalsa

An excursion was organized to Anandpur Sahib and Virasat-e-Khalsa for the students of class 7 & 8.
The excursion aimed to provide a unique opportunity for the students to explore the historic city of Anandpur Sahib, learn about Sikh history and culture, and experience the stunning architecture of Virasat-e-Khalsa. They were provided with a nutritious breakfast at Sukhpal’z restaurant Ropar. The group explored the museum's impressive exhibits, showcasing Sikh art, history, and culture. The students visited Gurudwara Takht Sri Kesgar Sahib for the blessings of the Almighty. A delicious and satisfying lunch was provided, allowing students to recharge and refuel.They were astonished while witnessing the breathtaking architecture of Virasat-e-Khalsa and learning about the significance of Anandpur Sahib in Sikh history. The excursion was a resounding success. All the students and teachers gained valuable insights into Sikh history and culture, and were inspired by the stunning architecture and warm hospitality. The provision of breakfast and lunch added to the overall comfort and enjoyment of the trip.

Ramgarh

Shivalik Public School sector 41, Chandigarh organised a day trip to Fort Ramgarh for junior section students on 25 October 2024. After a warm welcome and sumptuous breakfast, students were engaged in various fun activities. They enjoyed musical chair, tug of war, pottery making, archery etc. followed by a short tour of the grand Fort. Students got an insight of the rich history, culture and tradition of the Bygone era. Other attractions were an old tunnel. biggest hand driven fan and the tallest wooden door. The trip concluded with a lavish lunch, followed by refreshments. It was a memorable experience that combined fun and frolic.
