WORLD POPULATION DAY CELEBRATIONS IN SHIVALIK PUBLIC SCHOOL, PATIALA
World population day is an annual event, celebrated on 11th day of July to raise awareness of global population issues. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of Shivalik Public School, Patiala to mark the importance of the World Population Day.
Students of classes VI and VII were asked to write a paragraph on the topic of ‘Population day’. Students of classes VIII, IX and X prepared a PPT on the topic ‘Population as an asset or liability’.The students expressed their deep concern and care for the healthy growth and safety of the human race. They showcased the consequences of the population explosion that included food and water shortage, war and social conflict and depletion of natural resources.
Manya of class IX delivered a speech on World Population Day in the morning assembly where the students were explained the benefits of both nuclear family and joint family system. Teachers applauded the efforts of the students and urged the students to become good citizens and imbibe good values and ethics in their lives.
