WORLD BICYCLE DAY CELEBRATIONS IN SHIVALIK PUBLIC SCHOOL, PATIALA
World Bicycle Day is observed every year on June,3. To mark this day, Shivalik Public School, Patiala organized a 4 km bicycle rally. NCC cadets of classes IX and X participated in this rally. The day celebrates the uniqueness, durability and versatility of the bicycle and promotes it as a simple, sustainable means of transportation.
Sports teachers Mr. Kapil Dixit, Ms. Anju and Ms. Veeru apprised the students regarding the importance of cycling as a great exercise, good for the environment and socially it shares our sense of adventure. The students enjoyed this joy ride on their bicycle outside the school enthusiastically.They excitedly drove their bicycles to boost their confidence.
Principal, Bhupinder Kaur Bhamra guided the students that riding a bicycle not only brought smiles on little ones faces, but also improved their physical and mental health. It also benefits child’s learning development and is a great way to share some quality time with them.
