RABIES AWARENESS

In compliance with the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Patiala, WVS–Mission Rabies conducted a Rabies Awareness Session at Shivalik Public School, Patiala on 13 November 2025 under the ‘ Rabies Free Patiala’ programme. The session was led by Ms. Isha Verma, Education Officer, Mission Rabies. 

Students were sensitised about Rabies prevention, safe interaction with animals, essential first-aid steps after a dog bite, and the importance of vaccination in protecting the community. 

The workshop, delivered in simple and engaging language with the help of visual aids and demonstrations, ensured active participation and clear understanding among students. 

The school appreciated the dedicated efforts of Ms. Isha Verma and the Mission Rabies team, recognising the value of such initiatives in safeguarding children and promoting kindness towards animals.

Mission Rabies will continue collaborating with schools across Patiala to strengthen public awareness and support the mission of creating a Rabies-free district.
