HEALTHY DAY COMPETITION HELD AT SHIVALIK PUBLIC SCHOOL, PATIALA
Looking at alluring advertisements of famous food chains, children are getting attracted to junk food. To address the issue, Shivalik Public School, Patiala took an initiative to inculcate healthy eating habits by organizing an intra-class healthy tiffin competition for all the classes. The children learnt about the importance of healthy food.
Students were asked to bring some home-cooked healthy food in their tiffins and to speak about its nutritional facts. Students had brought complete materials (like table mats, spoons, table napkins, etc.) from their home to present the delicious food made by their mothers. This activity showcased the perfect bond of parent-child relationship over good food and eating habits.Class teachers chose the best three entries from their respective sections.
It was indeed a special day for our children as they got an opportunity to learn so much about eating healthy home cooked meals for a healthy body.
