“ Sacrifice becomes divine when made for the upliftment of mankind .”
To commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Day of the Ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, a special assembly was conducted at Shivalik Public School, Patiala.
The programme began with a thoughtful and inspiring speech highlighting the life, values, and supreme sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. This was followed by a soulful Shabad Kirtan presented by the students, creating an atmosphere filled with devotion and reverence. The special assembly served as a powerful reminder of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s unmatched sacrifice for the protection of faith and human rights.
Teachers also enlightened the students in their respective classes from Kindergarten to XII about the teachings of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji , his message of peace, courage, and humanity, and the reason why he is respectfully known as “Hind Di Chadar” — the Shield of India.To honour the Guru’s supreme sacrifice, the students wrote heartfelt lines expressing what they learned from his life and teachings.
The tribute beautifully instilled in students the spirit of truth, fearless resolve, and compassion for humanity.
