Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Gurpurab was celebrated with great devotion and spiritual fervour at Shivalik Public School Patiala on 4th November 2025. The entire school premises resonated with divine energy as students and teachers gathered to pay homage to Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism and the apostle of peace, truth, and equality.
The celebration commenced with the soulful Shabad Gayan performed by the school choir. The melodious hymns filled the atmosphere with serenity and devotion, inspiring everyone present to reflect upon Guru Ji’s divine teachings.
Following this, speeches were delivered by a student of class IX and the Punjabi teachers on the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The speakers beautifully highlighted Guru Ji’s messages of truth, compassion, humility, and selfless service, encouraging students to incorporate these values into their daily lives.
Principal of the school, , addressed the gathering and shared her thoughts on how Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings remain timeless and relevant even today. She emphasized that every student should strive to practice the power of sharing, kindness, equality, and righteousness—the true pillars of Guru Ji’s philosophy.
