GANDHI JAYANTI AND DUSSEHRA CELEBRATIONS

Shivalik Public School, Patiala, observed the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi Ji with deep respect and patriotic fervour ????????. On this occasion, the Hindi Department teachers conducted a special activity in which students prepared Gandhiji’s portrait, highlighting his teachings. Through this creative activity, children reflected on Gandhiji’s principles of truth and non-violence and the relevance of his ideology in today’s society.

In addition, the school also celebrated Dussehra on 1st October 2025 with festive zeal. Various class-wise activities were conducted to help students understand the triumph of good over evil in creative ways:

Kindergarten : The tiny tots presented joyful rhymes and expressed their thoughts by writing simple sentences on Dussehra.

Classes I & II enthusiastically participated in a Mask Making Activity, designing masks of different characters from the Ramayana.

Classes III to V showcased creativity through a Puppet Making Activity, beautifully depicting various scenes from Lord Rama’s life.

Classes VI to VIII expressed artistic skills by preparing Posters on the theme “Victory of Good over Evil.”

Classes IX to XII took part in a Creative Writing Competition, reflecting on moral lessons from the Ramayana and highlighting the relevance of Dussehra in modern times.

The celebrations concluded with the message that Gandhiji’s teachings and the spirit of Dussehra will continue to inspire students towards truth, courage, and righteousness
