COMMENDABLE PERFORMANCE BY SHIVALIKANS IN FIRST AID, SAFETY AND HEALTH AWARENESS COMPETITION
First aid can often make a huge impact on those who have been taken ill or sustained an injury, and can make the difference between full recovery and irreparable damage. Such a First Aid Competition was held at Government High Smart School, Patiala. In anticipation, a demo on ‘How to save life in case of fire accidents was given by training officer Mr. Kaka Ram Verma from Red Cross Society .
The competition was designed to encourage school children to learn about first aid and equip them with the confidence needed for intervention.
Students of Shivalik Public School, Patiala also brought laurels for the school in this competition. Lakshay Bhardwaj of IX-A and Divya of X-B from senior group performed on the topic ‘Fire safety’. They got first position. Rudra of VII-A and Samandeep Kaur of VII-B were from junior group and they performed on the topic of ‘First Aid’ and got second position. Principal, Bhupinder Kaur Bhamra appreciated the efforts of students and teachers for their hard work.
