The festival of lights, Diwali, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit at Shivalik Public School, Patiala. The celebration aimed to spread the message of joy, creativity, and embracing the light that outshines darkness.
Class-wise Celebration Highlights:
Kindergarten – Teachers beautifully explained the importance of Diwali through stories and interactive sessions, helping the little ones understand the value of light, goodness, and sharing.
Class 1 & 2 – Diya Decoration
Students painted diyas with bright colours and decorated them with glitter and sequins.
Class 3 – Candle Decoration
Students turned simple candles into festive décor pieces using ribbons, beads and sparkles.
Class 4 – Card Making Activity
Students designed handmade Diwali greeting cards filled with colours and warm wishes.
Class 5 – Toran Making
Students created decorative torans using craft materials to symbolize a colourful and positive welcome.
Class 6 to 8 – Thali Decoration
Students beautifully decorated Pooja Thalis with flowers, rangoli colours and traditional embellishments.
Class 9 to +2 – Rangoli Making
Senior students showcased their artistic skills by creating intricate rangoli designs with colours, petals and diyas.
The entire school campus looked vibrant and festive, filled with colours, creativity and smiling faces. The celebration not only enhanced artistic expression but also reminded everyone of the true essence of Diwali — spreading light, happiness and love.
