CYBER SAFETY SEMINAR

Shivalik Public School, Patiala organized an enlightening seminar on Cyber Safety in collaboration with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The session aimed to raise awareness among students about the responsible use of the internet  and digital platforms.

 The seminar was conducted by Mr. Hem Raj, a distinguished Resource Person from TRAI. He addressed crucial topics such as:
Cyber threats Online frauds
Misuse of social media
Safeguarding digital privacy
Through real-life examples, interactive discussions, and practical tips, students were guided to adopt safe online habits and to report suspicious cyber activities responsibly.

 Key guidelines shared included:
 Resetting mobile phones every 15 days for security
 Using strong & secure passwords to prevent hacking
 Difference between Aadhaar and Masked Aadhaar (with a recommendation to use the masked version for safety)
 Awareness of toll-free cybercrime helpline numbers for reporting incidents
 The seminar also highlighted TRAI’s initiatives for digital literacy and inspired students to be responsible digital citizens.

The active participation of students through questions and sharing experiences made the session interactive, engaging, and impactful.
Overall, it was a fruitful session that enriched students with valuable knowledge on safe and responsible digital practices.
