SKIN CHECKUP CAMP HELD IN SHIVALIK PUBLIC SCHOOL, PATIALA

Skin diseases in developing countries have a serious impact on people’s quality of life, causing lost productivity at work and school, and discrimination due to disfigurement. Skin changes may also indicate the presence of more serious diseases that need treatment.

Shivalik  Public School has always been a pioneer for providing proper health care to its students. In addition to this series, a skin checkup camp was organized in school premises on 9th December’ 2019  to benefit the students, suffering from various skin.The camp was organized by “Simply health Plus” in collaboration with Columbia Asia hospital, Patiala. Dr. Roshini Thakur , skin specialist visited for the skin checkup of students who were facing any kind of skin problem.

While examining the  students , she equipped them with detailed knowledge of various skin problems which occur during adolescent period. She also suggested many precautions, which one has to take in this age group. She prescribed the medicines and guided the students that adulterated food, less intake of water, lack of sufficient quantity of vitamins can cause several skin disparities. She also insisted upon adopting the habit of eating healthy and balanced food, ample intake of water and regular work outs. Principal Bhupinder Kaur Bhamra thanked the resource person. She also motivated the students to follow suggestions given to them for healthy skin.
