INTER SCHOOL FOLK DANCE COMPETITION AT SHEESH MAHAL  CRAFT MELA 2020

Dancing is the most beautiful art because it is not mere translation or abstraction from life, it is life itself. To mark this, an Inter School Folk Dance Competition was organised on 27th February’ 2020 at Sheesh Mahal Craft Mela 2020. Several schools including Shivalik Public School, Patiala participated in this competition.

The stage came alive when the students of different schools staged spectacular dances in the competition. The dance troupes from various schools mesmerized the audience with their performances based on the theme folk dances of India. The attractive costumes, fluid dance movements, and fascinating props made it tough for the judges to decide the winner.

Students of Shivalik Public School, Patiala showed a breathtaking performance and got second position in group folk dance. Gurnoor of class IV and Sanmeet Kaur of class VIII also got recognition for their artistic performance. Principal of the school, Bhupinder  Kaur Bhamra, congratulated the winners and appreciated the children and also encouraged them to participate more in such competitions to enhance their talents.
