CONSTITUTION DAY CELEBRATIONS HELD AT SHIVALIK PUBLIC SCHOOL, PATIALA
Constitution Day of India is celebrated on 26 November every year. In 2019, it marks the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution and raises awareness about the Indian Constitution.
“The Constitution Day” was celebrated at the Shivalik Public School, Patiala on 26th November, 2019, to spread awareness about the Indian Constitution and to instill a sense of patriotism among the students. The Assembly began with the speech of constitution day which was about the significance of the Constitution Day and the importance of being a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic and Republic country. Thereafter, the question and answer round was taken up to check the knowledge of students about the constitution day.
Students read the Preamble to the Constitution at 11 am, an exercise recommended by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to celebrate Constitution Day. A banner of Samvidhan Diwas was also displayed while reading the Preamble.
A special period was taken up during the day by the Social Studies Teachers who explained in detail the meaning of the Constitution, the Preamble, the Five year Plan and the Directive Principle.
