HOSTEL FACILITIES
|
The school is residential in nature. There are 500 boys and girls from all over the globe staying in its hostels. It has five hostels including a separate hostel for girls. We teach them to live independently, under the supervision of hostel wardens, assisted by matrons and Ayas. Recreational arrangements for boys and girls are entirely separate. Hostels are allotted according to different age groups. Hostels are fully equipped with modern amenities.

Hostel Building |

compulsory for all students. Sunday routine includes taking head bath for the Sikh boys. Proper care is taken to ensure that the students maintain their hair properly.
We have a spacious common room in all the hostels where the boys and girls entertain themselves by watching T.V. during the stipulated timings. Every Monday it is compulsory for the students to write to their parents regarding their welfare and their academic achievements.The students are made to write letters in legible hand in the presence of their teachers. Any change of address must be notified to the school in order to avoid any loss of letter.

Solar Heater |
The children whose birthday falls during the week, celebrate their birthdays collectively on Sundays, so as not to disturb the daily routine.
The school follows the basic principle of secularism. All National Festivals are celebrated with a lot of gaiety, so that a spirit of universal brotherhood is instilled in the minds of children. All the students actively participate in these functions and come out with their hidden talents and creative ideas.

MESS
|
The hostel Dining Hall is designed on modern lines with a seating capacity of over five hundred. A nutritious and well balanced diet is served to the students. Fresh milk and milk products are provided by school’s farm. The mess is fully mechanised. The school dietary has carefully been drawn up by the school doctor. The diet includes eggs, milk, butter, meat, fruit and fresh vegetables. Special provision is made for ailing students under medical advice.

WASHING AND DRY CLEANING UNIT

This is the first school in Punjab which was given solar water Heating system with designed capacity for 15000 litres per day by the PEDA, Chandigarh. It supplies hot water for cooking as well as for washing purposes. Hot bath facility is made available through Solar system during the winter season. | |

SCHOOL GUEST HOUSE
|
A well furnished Guest House has been constructed near the school. Depending on the availability of accommodation, the parents / guardians, in emergent or extra-ordinary circumstances, are entitled to stay in the Guest House for a day or two with the prior written permission of the Principal/Bursar.

VISITORS
|
Authorised visitors may see students on weekends, i.e. on Sundays and holidays. For special or emergent visits on working days, one should obtain prior permission of the Principal, before visiting the school. No child will be allowed to come out of the class during teaching periods. |
