	They are groomed culturaly having their global vision. The educational institutions run by the Shivalik Educational Society (Regd.), Chandigarh, rank amongst the best in North India. Making a beginning in 1970, the society now has four institutions which have become the torch bearers in imparting quality education. Shri. D. S. Bedi, the Director of Shivalik Institutions is a well known visionary in the field of education and has been a guiding beacon and motivating force in turning these institutions into ideal oasis of education and development.


	From Director's Desk
	The School has a special place in the life of every educated person. School life is interesting, delightful and challenging. A good school gives a child immense thrill and inspiration because it lays foundation of his future and opens for him new vistas. In Shivalik, we nurture with utmost care and rejoice to see them bloom but covet no trumpets, chariots or garlands when they leave after successfully completing their schooling. As teachers, our thrill of conquest lies in the victory of our students over ignorance.


	Foundation Stone
	Laid on the auspicious day of Baisakhi of 1976, the ceremony was unique in itself. Unlike the modern trend where high ups are sought after to lay the foundation stone of institutions; the members of Shivalik Educational Society (Regd.) Chandigarh deemed it fit to assign this honour to its first five students who joined the school, in a grand ceremony, for we strongly believe that students are a living identity of any institution.
